The Aerial Dance Circus, which performs at Strathpeffer Pavilion on Thursday, July 28, promises exhilarating aerial acrobatics, highly athletic dance, breathtaking physical theatre and visually stunning effects.
Strange Bird Zirkus is an Edinburgh based company formed in 2009 which is a creative partnership between Lucy Deacon (Scotland) and Moritz Linkmann (Germany). Strange Bird work on the fusion of high level acrobatic skills with a theatrical narrative.
Moritz started out as a mathematician, completing a masters degree in pure mathematics at the University of Vienna. Changing course he then attended the Centre National des Arts du Cirque in Chalons, France specialising in Chinese pole and acrobatics/dance.
Lucy is a multi-disciplined aerial artist and Chinese pole acrobat. She trained at Rogelio Rivel Circus School in Barcelona and went on to gain a diverse stage experience freelancing for several large Spanish companies.
