The 2011 Victorian Gala Day was held in Strathpeffer on Satirday June 11 and was a resounding success. The good weather (until the very end) brought out large crowds for activities and displays throughout the village.
The events, activities and displays this year included:
* Flower festival
* Harp recital
* Children's pony rides
* Archery
* Bouncy castles and slides
* Archery
* P6 Victorian display
* Heritage bus
* Treasured vehicles
* Tea dance
* Victorian Tennis
* Bowls
* Croquet
* Stalls and refreshments
* Victorian bicycles
* Elgin City Band
* Highland Chamber Orchestra
* Ceilidh
* Unusual instruments
* Story telling
* Model railway
* Victorian photos
* Highland dancing
The day is organised by the Victorian Strathpeffer Committee. They really need your support for the 2012 Victorian Day. Do contact them below if you want to run a stall or display or can help out in any way.
