A house concert is a chance to experience music in a warm and intimate environment. It's when someone opens up their home and invites you into their living room to share in a performance by one of their favourite musicians. It's a chance to meet the performers and get them to sign their CDs. A house concert is also a great social evening for friends and neighbours.
In Strathpeffer the Square Wheels House Concerts take place at Steve and Clancy's place at Mackenzie House. Recent concerts have included a excellent evening from Christine Collister. We have also staged concerts for Daddy (Will Kimbrough and Tommy Womack), The Coal Porters, The Southern Folk Union, Rachel Harrington and Zak Borden, AJ Roach, Michael Weston King, Peter Bruntnell and Jeb Loy Nichols. Paul Barrere and Fred Tacket from Little Feat have also performed where the telly usually stands on more than one occasion and you can see a clip of one of their Strathpeffer house concerts below.
