One of the biggest community events of the year. Pavilion Sunday 3 June.

An open-air bring your own picnic in the grounds of The Pavilion (inside if it is raining) for residents, friends and visitors to the village. Assemble at 12.50 p.m. in the car parks of the Community Centre, the Golf Club or the Victorian Station to take part in the processions starting at 1.00 p.m., led by pipers, to the Pavilion Gardens where there will be tables and chairs laid out.

Tea and Coffee and fruit juice will be available from the Friends of the Pavilion. Red Poppy will be doing one of their famous BBQs.

Flag raising at 1.15, arrival of surprise VIPs at 1.30, music from 2.00 p.m., treasure hunt for the children at 3.00 p.m. and prizes handed out at 3.30 p.m.

Ecumenical Diamond Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving in St Anne’s Episcopal Church at 5.00 p.m.

Baking competition with prizes for the best tasting and best decorated cakes.

Judging of the baking competition will be by Lady Claire Macdonald, the well known cookery writer, and Lilias, Lady Cromartie.

Open Mike for musicians from 2.00 p.m. so come and try your hand at busking.
A unique afternoon out for all the family.
