Fodderty Lodge
A truly memorable holiday rental experience.
Fodderty Lodge, originally built as a country manse in 1730, stands in its own grounds midway between Dingwall and the Victorian spa village of Strathpeffer in the heart of Mackenzie Country.
Fodderty Lodge offers a variety of comfortable 3 and 4 star self-catering accomodation.
As a family run enterprise, we believe in offering a warm friendly welcome to our visitors, with advice about places to visit, details of the many local walks, and as much or as little help as you need.
Fodderty Lodge is a great destination for a rental vacation and our accommodation is geared to reflect the differing needs of families, couples, friends and single people. Our guests share a common desire to enjoy getting out into the fresh air and exploring the fabulous Highlands and the '99.9% midge-free'countryside around us.
We are well placed:
Dingwall, only a mile and a half away, is the county town of Ross-shire. A market town, it has a wide range of excellent local shops as well as a 24-hour Tesco. There are hotels and pubs offering live music, both traditional and modern and a large children's playpark.
There is also an Indoor Sports Centre with heated swimming pool and gym. The town hosts a fascinating weekly antiques and bric-a-brac auction. Great entertainment even if you end up buying nothing!
The attractive Victorian spa village of Strathpeffer is 2 miles in the other direction, and offers a stunning and challenging 18 hole golf course. The village also boasts some lovely little shops, restaurants and cafes, the Highland Museum of Childhood and a reputed Belgian chocolate shop. Strathpeffer Pavilion is a wonderful multi-purpose arts venue which has just undergone a £2.5M restoration. We are very proud of the Pavilion locally and would encourage you to check out the programme of events found on their website www.StrathpefferPavilion.org
